It serves as an urgent response to the racist, anti-migrant, and anti-Muslim riots that shook the UK, illuminating how far right populist rhetoric fuels both racial violence and misogyny.

FiLiA Legacy Project

Project Resist has been working in partnership with the FiLiA Legacy Project. We have recently mapped the work of small grassroots black and minority women's organisations in a number of cities across the UK. This includes learning more about the needs and the challenges they face as well as the campaigns and policy they undertake. As part of this work, Project Resist has produced a detailed report that gives an insight into the many challenges and concerns that black and minoritised women and girls face at local and regional levels.

"We want a women's movement that is for all women, and we mean Black women who are from communities where they are already dealing with violence and abuse... we are campaigning on our own and we want support, or this isn't feminism."
